The match started off slow, with barely any chance for both sides. Milan’s few chances in the first half came from good passes by both, Jankolvski and Pirlo which Pippo didn’t manage to put in the goal. Abbiati did a couple of great saves, allowing Milan to end the first half without conceding a goal.

Second half started, and both teams were trying to score a goal, but with barely a link between the midfield and the offense in the Milan team it was hard to believe that Milan can score, especially with Seedorf being marked by 2 players at least. A blunder from the Cagliari defense saw Seedorf take use of it and score from a well placed shot, silencing the Milan fans that had shown their disappointment from his performance earlier in the match by whistling. Milan tried to double their lead as Cagliari tried to get the equalizer, but both teams were not able to reach their objective as the referee whistled to end yet another boring display by Ac Milan.

Yet again the referee had his blunders that might have  changed the course of the match. Few offsides were called against Cagliari that shouldn’t have been called, and Pippo barely pushed one of Cagliari’s defenders causing the blunder that lead to Seedorf’s goal. Flamini deserved a penalty that wasn’t called.

After the game, Ancelotti declared that the fans “might be fed up with him” leading to rumors that this is his last season with the Rosseneri.

First half was rather quite, with a decent amount of chances for Milan, but barely any of those threatened the Reggina goal. Reggina, took advantage of Milan pushing toward the goal, and built up a very good counter attack leading in the goal scored by Di Gennaro, ex-Milan player. Milan, searching for the equalizer, continued to attack, but it was never meant to happen in the first half.

Second half was picked up by Milan from where they had left the first, pushing towards the Reggina goal. Seedorf scored a goal, that was called off by the referee for handball. With Reggina getting a bit shaky at the back, Our Duck found his way through three players in one move and got tackled in the box giving Milan that much needed penalty. Kaka’ stepped up, and scored it as he sent the goalie to the other side. Milan where never going to stop there, but tried constantly to score the second, but after five minutes of extra-time the referee whistled signaling the end of the match.

The referee’s performance was far from convincing, as he failed to get control on the match. His decisions where far from accurate as well. Kaka’ left the pitch minutes before the end of the match, and is expected to be out for two weeks thus missing the Milan Derby.

Pato shined yet again despite the not so convincing performance by Milan. He was spotted angry at the referee few times, as Pato got constantly fouled on the pitch. His maturity was spotted as he told the referee his call was wrong and that he[Pato] was the last one to touch the ball before it went out of bounds earning Reggina a goal kick rather than a corner kick for Milan.

The first half did not have much in it. Lazio were able to produce a little, but Abbiati was good enough to stop most of the chances. 3 minutes before the end of the first half, after a very good pass from David Beckham, “The Duck” was able to score; a very well directed shot saw Milan end the first half in somewhat a convincing result.

Second half started, and Milan picked it up from where they left it .Only three minutes from the start, from a free-kick sent in by Beckham, Ambrosini was able to head the ball in the net. After a few chances wasted, Kaka’ was able to secure it for the Rosseneri just seven minutes before the final whistle.

Abbiati and Beckham were key for the Milan win, but Pato never stopped annoying the opposition’s defense. With his constant runs and dribbles, although not always accurate, he was able to shake the Lazio defense. Pato showed yet again glimpses of improvment, and was complemented by his fellow teammates, Kaka’ and David. His[Pato] enthusiam on the field, and geat talent has been making wonders to the Milan results.

“We played a great match all together, for me it was easy to put it in, Beckham gave me an incredible pass. I am doing everything the coach asks of me, I’m doing well and I’m happy I’m scoring frequently.”

This might also potentially be the last game for Kaka at the San Siro, as there were many rumours of him getting brought over to Man City. This was also David Beckham’s second match at the San Siro, and he played quite well, but didn’t get himself on the score sheet once again.

Pato’s goal was his 6th in his last 4 games, quite incredible for the teenager!

Once again though, Pato’s goal was enough for Milan, and has thrusted Milan within 6 points of Inter for the top of the table, though Inter play tomorrow vs Atlante.

For the full 90 minutes, the Milan faithful were chanting Kaka’s name, reminding him that a move to Man City would be quite painful for him, and that the fans want him to stay.
